Hi! I’m Danielle!

I’m a mother to my sweet daughter Autumn. I live on a small 7.5-acre farm in Washington State, and my greatest purpose in life has become my motherhood journey. Throughout my experience of pregnancy, birth, and postpartum, I have seen my fair share of challenges and know what it’s like to face hardships like trauma and single motherhood without having the support or nervous system capacity to navigate the hardships we as mothers often face.

I created this space to offer the resources I believe would have helped me in the early days of motherhood and that currently help me as a mom today. My backstory is a bit messy, but from that, I’ve gained perspective, inner strength, and wisdom.

In the early days of motherhood, I found myself navigating birth trauma, betrayal, divorce, and the overwhelming weight of raising a child on my own while trying to carry myself. I was burnt out, emotionally exhausted, and grieving the life I’d left behind.

But I still have my daughter, the love I have for her, and the desire I have to protect her, carried me through a season that could have destroyed me.

I quickly realized that becoming the mother I wanted to be would look very different from what I had imagined. It would require healing. It would require truth. It would require starting over and rebuilding a new life for us, slowly, intentionally, and without pretending I was fine when I wasn’t.

Today, we are happier than I imagined possible in those early days. I’ve reconnected with family, rebuilt stability, and found love again with a man who treats me with care and respect I once didn’t know existed.

The Rustic Mother exists because I never want another mother to feel alone in the trenches of trauma, burnout, or rebuilding.

This space is for women who have walked through birth trauma, betrayal, emotional abuse, divorce, or simply the quiet overwhelm of modern motherhood.

Here we speak the truth.
Here we honor motherhood.
Here we return to our intuition.
We reclaim sovereignty as mothers.

Here I offer up my experience, my story, and my healing.

Motherhood will test you. It will stretch you. It will grow you in ways you may not feel prepared for.

But you can become the mother you desire to be.

From whatever place you are starting, whether from abuse & trauma or the ordinary sacred struggles of womanhood,

I’m here to help you cut through the noise and over-stimulation.
To return to your innate wisdom
To nourish your body.
To trust your instincts again.
To create a grounded, resilient life for you and your babies.

You are not broken.
And you do not have to do it alone.

Welcome to The Rustic Mother.
